"Itumeleng Khune and Katlego Mphela are currently doing gym work," reports the Medical Team on the injury status of the two players.
Khune and Mphela suffer from an ankle and foot injury respectively.
The report continues, "They are both progressing well. And are expected to be back by late October."
The report further states, "Defender Erick Mathoho sustained a knee injury on the right leg during the MTN 8 final on weekend. He started light training again today."
Marksman, Mphela, explains his injury woes,
"I scored and landed awkwardly and their goalkeeper fell on top of my right foot. Initially I thought it was just a knock. The following day I woke up with a swollen and a painful foot and I couldn't walk."
Mphela was injured in the MTN 8 Cup semi-final 2nd leg demolition job over Platinum Stars. Chiefs won the tie by 3 - 0 score line and Mphela grabbed one at the death.
"It is a setback for me and the team but you can't question this type of thing. I just have to stay focused and strong," says a great inspired Mphela.
