Feared Usuthu striker Jackie Ledwaba warned Amakhosi to brace themselves for their third consecutive defeat in the league in less than three weeks.
Chiefs will go into this match fresh from two defeats by Orlando Pirates (1-0) and SuperSport United (3-0).
Wednesday's loss by United was the worst for Amakhosi this season.
"Those guys are in serious trouble, we are going to finish them off on Sunday," said Ledwaba, who is also the current Premiership top goalscorer on 13 goals.
"Chiefs must not expect any favours. It's a well known fact that they are chasing the league but we also need the three points to move out of the relegation zone.
"It's pay back time for Chiefs after embarrassing us 4-0 during the first league match in Durban. We have been training hard and everybody is looking forward to the match."
However, Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung said they will bounce back at the expense of Royals.
Motaung urged their supporters not to start pressing panic buttons.
Chiefs will be minus midfield genius Jabulani Mendu whose father died early this week.
In another match on Sunday, Moroka Swallows should easily beat tailenders Hellenic at PAM Brink Stadium in Springs.
Swallows are still on cloud nine after beating Santos last Saturday to qualify for the Absa Cup final.
The youthful Hellenic, who are now under the watchful eye of former Bafana Bafana striker Fani Madida, were beaten by Mamelodi Sundowns two weeks ago.
Two matches will be played on Saturday, the day the world governing football body president Sepp Blatter will announce the successful bidding country to host the 2010 World Cup finals.
Relegation-threatened Dynamos take on equally struggling Manning Rangers at Chartsworth Stadium.
Rangers are also through to the Absa Cup final after eliminating Ajax Cape Town.
In another match on the same day, Black Leopards entertain Lamontville Golden Arrows at Thohoyandou Stadium. The two sides are involved in a fierce battle to end the season in the top eight bracket.
