Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic is aiming for his charges to round off their final Absa Premiership fixture ahead of the coming week’s international break, with a victory when they face Golden Arrows in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday the Amakhosi mentor also looked back on Chiefs goalless draw this past weekend with Bloemfontein Celtic and added, “we have had six very tough games in the league so far, the game against Celtic was no different to what we have been accustomed to thus far in the campaign.

They are a very dangerous team and I believe that a lot of teams will struggle against them in Bloemfontein this season.”

With Celtic behind him Vermezovic is getting his team focused on their next assignment which is against Golden Arrows, “Arrows have not started well” intoned Vermezovic before admitting that despite the Kwa-Zulu Natal based sides slow start to the season they will be revved up for the meeting with the Amakhosi.

“But despite that we know from experience that whenever any team play against us they want to prove themselves, we expect Arrows to play all of their possibilities and it won’t be an easy game.

We are a ready for any challenge, we going to Polokwane looking to collect three points, we want to be calm in two- week’s -time after the international break so a win is important for us.”

Chiefs are currently second on the league standings behind SuperSport United who lead the Absa Premiership, but Vermezovic insists that it is still too early in the season to be talking about a title challenge.

“These kinds of stories about the championship can put unneeded pressure on a team, we cannot be talking about the title now six games into the season, there are still more than 20 games to play.

The League is very tough and I expect many more surprises as the season progresses, I said from the beginning that Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United are good teams and now they showing their true potential. For us it is more important to be at the top at the end of the season.”

Vermezovic and his team head into the game with Arrows nursing a number of injuries and as the Chiefs coach explained he expects to be minus a few of his personel, “Dominic Isaacs, Mandla Masango and Kaizer Motaung Jr are all injured, while we are hopeful that there will be some positive news on the availability of Bernard Parker for the Arrows clash” explained Vermezovic.
