The Amakhosi, who impressed with their short passing game, went down 1-0 in a game where they created more chances to score but it was not to be.
"I am satisfied with the performance of the team. There were areas in our game where we looked really impressive but also the game helped us to identify areas that we need to work on in making sure we are a real force next season," said Vermezovic.
"We played against a top side but I am proud of my players for the fight they put in. We now have to regroup and make sure we are ready for Orlando Pirates on Thursday," he said.
The Serbian hinted that he might make changes against Pirates. “It is again a huge game for us. We have a big squad and we might make changes come Thursday. I will first have a look at the players who played against Manchester City and will make a decision from there," he added.
