Former Watford manager Gianluca Vialli who is courted by Fulham in the English Premier League, is coming to South Africa on Friday as a guest of the Vodacom Challenge organising committee and will fly down to Durban for the final on Sunday.

The clean shaven Italian, now armed with a full Fifa

coaching badge and an accredited Fifa consultant, has

been invited by the Vodacom Challenge organisers to

watch the climax of the premier African club

tournament in Thekwini on Sunday.

"Vialli has been invited to not only come to watch and experience the Vodacom Challenge," revealed Orlando Pirates brand manager and Vodacom Challenge co-organiser Zodwa Khoza, "but his presence obviously indicates there exists the potential for business

partnerships that could come out of this visit."

"His arrival will no doubt be exploited to further

make him understand the local market, the football

culture and like I said, business opportunities with a

man of his caliber are simply mind boggling."

In addition, Vialli is expected to play golf with

managing directors of both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer

Chiefs - Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Motaung - at an

undisclosed venue on Monday and you can rest assured

that the trio would not only be swinging clubs, but

discussing serious football and business matters.
