Kaizer Chiefs Village hosted Facebook competition winners, Ceejay Cornelius (35) and Philly ‘072’ Sebola on Friday morning.
The two winners who were each allowed to bring five of their friends entered the Facebook competition back in October and on Friday they had an opportunity to tour the Village and meet the entire team including Technical Staff lead by Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic.
“It is for the first time for me to come to the Kaizer Chiefs Village. I have heard about the Village but I never thought it was at this level. I am happy to be here and I am over the moon to have met Siphiwe Tshabalala and the rest of the players,” said the visible delighted Ceejay while taking a picture with Bernard Parker.
The Kaizer Chiefs Facebook page one of the biggest sporting pages in the continent started in 2009 and today it has about 306 000 fans.
“I do not have to rely on media today to get the latest news about the team. Even when I am not watching games, our Facebook page always keeps us to date. I love the pictures that are loaded after the games as they give you a picture of what happened at the stadium if you are not there,” he said.
Sebola was equally delighted, “This is a special visit. I have visited the Club’s Head Quarters couple of times to shop at the Kaizer Chiefs Retail Store but still I was happy to win the competition to Tour the Village.
“Kaizer Chiefs Facebook page is good for marketing purposes. It is informative and it is a cheaper way of getting the latest news in the Club as you do not have to buy newspapers, etc. We also use the page as supporters to connect and talk about the team,” he said.
Meanwhile the Marketing Team has revealed that there will be a lot to win for the fans on Chiefs Facebook page starting from next week from phones, tickets for the games...so join and stand a chance to win big!
