Vodacom and Kaizer Chiefs are invading Durban this week to get fans ready for a double dose of the mighty Amakhosi in Premier Soccer League action at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The defending champions first face Golden Arrows on Thursday 19 December before taking on Amazulu on Sunday 22 December and to add the cherry on top of what promises to be a weekend of passion and excitement on the field, KaizerChiefs and Vodacom will be hosting the Amakhosi Festive Vibe at one of Durban’s funkiest venues, Max’s Lifestyle restaurant in Umlazi.

“While our exploits on the pitch will always remain the topmost priority, Kaizer Chiefs is more than just a football brand. It is a lifestyle that seeks to represent all the best features of what we stand for. That is what it means to beAmakhosi 4 Life,” said Chiefs marketing director, JessicaMotaung.

“This year marks the second Amakhosi Festive Vibe and if last year’s hugely successful event is anything to go by, people are in for a party they will remember forever.”

Revellers will be entertained from mid-afternoon until long into the night by award winning DJs Tira and Zinhle while rubbing shoulders with some of the Chiefs players and management who will also be in attendance at the AmakhosiFestive Vibe.

“After last year’s success, we are really looking forward to partnering with Kaizer Chiefs again in this exciting event. Vodacom is bringing summer with Chiefs and we want to give fans in Kwazulu Natal as well as holiday makers from around the country the chance to experience ‘Give a Gift; Give a Happy’ where Vodacom makes it possible for customers to send each other wonderful festive gifts at a cost of 50c each,” said Rowen Gangulu, Vodacom’s sponsorship manager.

Indeed, Vodacom’s ‘Give a Gift; Give a Happy’ campaign brings a refreshing new approach to the age old tradition of ‘giving ihappy’ over the festive season with an attractive selection of gifts such as 60 minutes’ talk time, or 100MB data, or 500 SMS’s.
