Kaizer Chiefs continued with the process of closing off the season with an announcement of goalkeeper Virgil Vries leaving the club.
The club confirmed that negotiations with the Namibian goalminder were concluded on Tuesday afternoon.
Virgil Vries joined Chiefs on 1 July 2018 and with immediate effect (30 April) entered into a mutual termination and release agreement.
The player thanked Kaizer Chiefs for the opportunity. “It’s been a pleasure and a great experience to don the Kaizer Chiefs jersey. I thank everyone for their support during my stay at the club.”
The club thanked Vries for his contribution and wished him all the best in his future endeavours as he prepares for the upcoming Cosafa and Africa Cup of Nations tournaments with the Namibian national team.
