Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic sent his apology to Black Aces following the 2-0 drubbing that meant that Mpumalanga based Club will be playing first division football next season.

Aces that have had a torrid season needed to win the game against the Glamour Boys to keep their hopes of survival alive but late goals from captain, Jimmy Tau and Knowledge Musona condemned them to the first division.

“It saddens me that the Club will now be relegated following this defeat. This is a nature of our job where results are important and today we wanted to win the game. I would like to wish them all the best going forward. Aces deserved to be in the Premier League and that is why they are also contesting for the Nedbank,” said Vermezovic.

Back to the game, the Serbian was delighted with the win, “I think we played well and we created lot of chances. Aces goalkeeper (Dennis Onyango) was on top of his game and the score margin in my opinion should have been higher,”

“I also think the players showed character winning the game with one man down after Valery Nahayo was sent off in the second half. I would like to congratulate the players for such a sterling performance,” he told kaizerchiefs.com.

VV also made a special mention of Dominic Isaacs who had a fantastic game having come in the second half in the place of Josta Dladla. The Cape Town born player came in to fill the gap left by Valery Nahayo after the Burundian was sent off.

“Dominic did well when he came in. I was impressed with his overall attitude and contribution when he came in,” said Vermezovic.
