Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic on Wednesday issued an apology to the media following a walk out during a Media Open Day held at Club’s HQ in Naturena on the 14th October 2010.

The former Serbian international was speaking to the local media after a moral boosting 1-0 victory against Soweto rivals, Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium.

“I was a bad host,” said Vermezovic. “The Club had invited the media for the press conference but on that day I was very emotional. I would like to apologise to everyone who was affected.

I have enjoyed a very good relationship with the media in the past couple of months and I am sure we can work together again,” he said jokingly adding that it was strange for him to occupy the front pages instead of youth leader, Julius Malema.

Vermezovic also added that he was satisfied with the way his side played against Moroka Swallows despite missing lot of opportunities, “It is always better for me when we are creating chances...we should have won this game by a big margin.”

I am satisfied with my players in particular Abia (Nale) who scored his first goal this season.

Kaizer also did well and came close opening his account on two occasions. Itumeleng Khune showed once more that he is South Africa’s finest goalkeeper.

We will keep on improving and I am sure we will be much better when we meet AmaZulu in Durban over the weekend,” said Vermezovic.

Chiefs now with points moved to the third spot in the league behind Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town.

The Glamour Boys travel to Durban this coming weekend to honour Telkom Knockout last 16 against AmaZulu.

On Sunday, October 31 they will be on the road once more this time to the South Africa’s capital city to meet current reigning champions, SuperSport United in what promises to be a thrilling Absa Premiership clash to be played at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
