Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic has urged the Club to retain the services of captain, Itumeleng Khune and influential Siphiwe Tshabalala as both players contracts are running out at the end of the current season.

The two players are expected to play a key role for Kaizer Chiefs in challenging for the league honours this season and VV feels that the Club should prioritise re-signing them as compared bringing new players in January.

“It is important that we try and keep players and we want to keep the likes of Shabba and Khune. These are players, they play for Bafana Bafana and it is important that we re-sign them,” said the Serbian speaking on the latest Amakhosi magazine currently on the shelves.

The Kaizer Chiefs mentor is also keen to see crowd favourite, Abia Nale staying with the team; “I also want to make sure a guy like Abia Nale re-signs; he is a player we want to keep. He may not play all the time but he is good coming off the bench. He is like ‘Baby Faced Assassin’, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who used to play for Manchester United – he would come off the bench and score goals, make an impact and that is what I expect from Abia.”

The Amakhosi Magazine (January edition) is on sale at various stores countrywide.

The magazine features exclusive interviews with Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, captain Itumeleng Khune and Arthur Bartman to mention but a few.
