Coach Ernst Middendorp has urged his troops to maintain a high level of focus for the less than 10 remaining games of the current season. “All what we want to see is focus,” the German says. “Equally, we want to see excitement in the camp. Energy is key going towards the end of the league season.”
Middendorp was upbeat mode when he took the team through the final preparations ahead of their tussle against AmaZulu tonight at FNB Stadium.
“It is déjà vu. When we played them in the corresponding fixture in Durban, AmaZulu went through changes in their technical team,” he recalls. “In the build-up to tonight’s game, they have similar changes. We are facing them again under similar conditions. There’s much talk about their situation and it makes it difficult to preempt their approach.
“We go into tonight with one forced change in our team,” Middendorp referred to the injured Willard Katsande. “We have done our homework, with basics and using our strength. We are looking forward to doing well against AmaZulu. We are ready.”
Amakhosi and Usuthu will kick-off is 20:15. Tickets can be purchased from Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers stores.
