Bernard Parker described the feeling to score a winning goal in the 2013 Nedbank Cup Final at Moses Mabhida Stadium as a "great" one.

Parker who grew up supporting Kaizer Chiefs was playing his first domestic cup final since joining the Glamour Boys at the start of 2011/2012 season.

"I grew up watching Kaizer Chiefs winning trophies and wanted to be part of that and to score a winner is a great feeling," said the player affectionately known as "Hond".

"We were quite confident about our chances of clinching the double and credit to each and everyone of my teammates for sticking to the plan. Supersport (United) was never going to be easy.

On winning a double Parker commented speaking to kaizerchiefs.com saying; "Its something very special and you saw how everyone celebrated after the game. This also meant a lot to the supporters.

We are always looking at giving something back to them as they travel the length and the breath of this country to support the team.

"We will be looking at bringing more smiles to them in the upcoming season," added Parker.
