“I feel great to be part of the team,” expresses goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo ahead of the much anticipated Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday.

Khuzwayo is expected to be in starting lineup to be announced this evening on SABC Sports@10.

“I would like to thank the supporters,” responds Khuzwayo on the possibility of starting on Saturday. “It is a privilege to be part of this big occasion let alone playing for this colossal Club.”

Khuzwayo has been exchanging gloves with Reyaad Pieterse during last season when Itumeleng Khune got injured.

Khuzwayo appeared on twenty occasions in the league and cup matches last season. “I will try my best when chosen to be between poles,” promises Khuzwayo.

“We are ready as a team. And so far, we gel well with the new players and coaching staff,” Khuzwayo refers to the new coach Steve Komphela and assistant goalkeeper coach, Brian Baloyi. “It is a matter of one game at a time.”

The derby match on Saturday, is the 5th Carling Black Label and Chiefs have won the tie once compared to Orlando Pirates winning it on three occasions.

Match kick-off is at 15:30 and the tickets are sold out.
