Kaizer Chiefs will be looking for their seventh consecutive win in the league and eleventh in all competitions when they lock horns against a resilient Maritzburg United on Saturday, 27 September 2014. Chiefs make a welcome return to the FNB Stadium following a lucrative trip to Durban where they returned holding their 15th top-8 (MTN 8) trophy plus the R8 000 000, the winner takes all cheque.
Katsande in his usual frank talk mood reflects at the preparation ahead of every soccer fan favourite fixture, “I think the preparations have gone well. The honeymoon is over. We have to get back on track. We can't afford to take any game easy let alone a match against Maritzburg United. We are going to the game with all the guns blazing.”
Tickets for the much awaited match are selling at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers at a cost of R40.
He continues, “It is going to be a tactical game. Playing against the teams that are coached by Coach Steve Khompela have always been tactical matches. Everyone in our squad is hungry and geared up for the game.”
“We have to continue in our winning ways, but most importantly take it one game at a time.”
Gates open at 17:00 and kickoff is billed at 20:15.
