“We always want to be competitive,” insists Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter. “We owe it to the league.”
Baxter has just finished pre-match training with the squad ahead of their Absa Premiership match against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday evening.
“We owe it to ourselves as professionals,” adds Baxter with supreme confidence.
Chiefs have already clinched the Absa Premiership title, but the coach remains focussed on winning the remaining league games.
“We will make a few changes,” forecasts Baxter. “But we can't stop competing and we will keep our professional attitude.”
“Against Mamelodi Sundowns we showed our attitude,” the coach concludes. “We were pushing hard for that win. The squad is certainly not on holiday yet.”
Tonight’s match against Bidvest Wits is scheduled to take place at the FNB Stadium (kick-off at 19:30).
