Towering defender, Tefu ‘Uyindoda’ Mashamaite believes that the Glamour Boys are still on course to win the Absa Premiership this season despite lying on third position behind Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United.

The Glamour Boys will report back to training on Monday following the Christmas break; “I can’t wait to be back at the Village to start working towards achieving our objective as the Club this season,” said Mashamaite who took his family to Lesotho during the break.

“We were unlucky against AmaZulu in our last game but at the end of the day it is most important to be no. 1 in May. We will be working towards this when we return from the break. This is an ambition that I share with my colleagues. We want to win the championship this season.

Mashamaite who joined the Glamour Boys in June featured seven times for the Amakhosi and he told kaizerchiefs.com that now he is aware on what is expected of him at the Club.

“It can be difficult to settle when you are from a small Club to the biggest Club in the country. I am pleased that I was able to feature for seven games. It is a good thing because other players cannot even crack it to the travelling squad. I have learnt a lot during my first six months and I know what is expected of me both on and off the field.

Tefu who has earned himself a nickname ‘Uyindoda’ from kaizerchiefs.com believes that consistency will be key for the Glamour Boys to bring the elusive Absa Premiership to Naturena this season.

“We need to be more consistent. We cannot afford to win, draw our next game and lose. We need to go all out and win. We need to win each and every game and if we can achieve this - no one will stand in our way. We already have the most passionate supporters in the country – our job is to make sure that we win and with the 15 games to go, we believe it is possible,” added the Limpopo born defender.
