Many supporters from as far as Bhurgersfort, Soshanguve, Hamanskraal and Brits sacrificed their long trip to Qwa Qwa to accompany the team against Free States Stars at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.

Topics raging from membership cards and the realignment of branches dominated discussions as members recommitted to “cleaning their houses”. It was indeed a fruitful meeting considering that supporters in Gauteng were meeting for the first time after the successful launch of our membership cards in December of 2007. Seeing the likes of Mr. Morgan Nkosi, a stalwart originator of the Amakhosi Supporters Club since the early seventies was encouraging indeed.

Whilst our team restored our pride by humiliating Free State Stars in its own backyard, the four-hour long meeting yielded good results as matters that affected the growth and development of branches were hammered and chiselled. Contentious issues were put to the table, internal organizational feuds were buried and the Amakhosi left the meeting energized to rekindle their support for the team and everything associated with it.

Another success was recorded when over fifty supporters registered for their membership to take their rightful stance as true and genuine members of the family. Children as young as three were registered as true supporters.

Let me thank our supporters for attending this meeting. The prayers that we expressed and the consolidation of our family ties set us on the road to recovery and strength. This proves that we are on track!
