“It will be impulsive for anyone to think that we are folding our arms while other teams are busy signing and off-loading players in preparation for the next season. We are not immune of the player movement exodus and technical changes that happens during the off-season. It is part of our bigger plans to ensure that the Chairman’s vision for the next season is fulfilled” says Motaung.
The Club has been inundated with calls from the supporters and the media enquiring about changes in the team and the technical staff despite the plea for some patience.
“With the new Coach set to take over next season, it is logical that changes be made in the team and the technical staff, in consultation with him. It is important that we do not hastily and prematurely react to pressures put upon us by the media, but stick to our plans and traditions of doing our business. In the not so distant future we will have a press conference at which we intend to outline all our plans for the next season.”
Motaung is confident that Chiefs is on track in implementing its plans for the ‘season of change’.
“All of us at Kaizer Chiefs are excited with the progress we have made so far. We are looking forward to the arrival of our new coach so as to tie up all the loose ends before he takes up his mammoth task of taking the team to greater heights” he concluded.
