Second in command, Doctor ’16V’ Khumalo has challenged the players to bounce back following the defeat at the hands of SuperSport United on Saturday at Soccer City Complex.

The Glamour Boys are still seeking for their first win in four games and they remain in sixth spot in the Absa Premiership table.

“There is no doubt that we can improve from this performance. We are going back to the drawing board and try work on the mental side of the players. We were also unlucky to lose Mthokozisi Yende through an injury in the first half,” said Khumalo who congratulated SuperSport United on their 2-1 victory.

“We experienced few hiccups before the game against SuperSport United with few players carrying injuries but once again we knew what we were up against.

“We remain behind the players and we have Mamelodi Sundowns coming up next so we can once again not afford to drop our heads.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday, Doctor Khumalo said the Amakhosi will continue to fight until the last game of the season, “The league has not been won yet. We have four games to and the most important thing for us to win our next game. We can do better against Sundowns.

Khumalo who has been in the Club for almost three decades now has seen the significant role the supporters can play in lifting the team; “I ask the fans to remain patient and continue to rally behind the team. We do understand that they are not happy as things have not been going well. We will continue to do our best to turn around the situation we find ourselves in.

“The players and each and everyone here (Naturena) understand the responsibility we carrying to put smiles to the millions of our supporters. Having grown up here and I have seen over the years how strong we are when we all stick together,” added Khumalo.
