Kaizer Motaung JNR has urged his teammates to lift their game when they come face to face with Vodacom outfit, Cape Town All Stars in a Nedbank tricky last 32 tie at Soccer City Complex on Saturday, 03 March 2012.
Kick off for the game is at 20:15.
Motaung who found the back of the net during the Reserve fixture against Orlando Pirates on Monday was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com following a gruelling training session at the Club’s HQ in Naturena.
“We are expecting a tough game against Cape Town All Stars. They are unknown to us. We are quite aware that they are going to come with guns blazing on Saturday. The so called ‘smaller teams’ have given us problems in the past it is time now to address that. We are playing at home and we should win the game,” said Motaung affectionately known in football circles as ‘Anelka’.
“We have sat down as a group and we know that we need to up our game to ensure that what has happened in the past should not happen again. We have been working extremely hard and hopefully it will show on the weekend.
“I have only started two this season. If I get opportunity on Saturday I will give my best . It was good to get some game time on Monday in the Monday League (Reserve League). I was happy with my contribution on that game and hopefully I can build on that as we go along.
“We have been working hard as strikers up front to score as many goals as we can but we all know it is various factors contributing to the lack of goals in the team. Everyone needs to come to the party, midfielders including defenders. We continue to work on this in training,” added Motaung JNR.
