Kaizer Chiefs vs Polokwane City
Wednesday, 27 November 2013
FNB Stadium
19:30
Skipper Itumeleng Khune was optimistic about the chances of the Amakhosi bouncing back from a disappointing result of the past weekend; "We are disappointed by the result of the past weekend. We have to bounce back from that defeat. We are experienced enough to redeem ourselves."
"We are aware that Polokwane City will be motivated by their past weekend's result. But they must know that they are coming to FNB Stadium. We cannot afford to lose two games in a row;" Khune was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com ahead of the much anticipated mouth watering clash.
"It is still very early to write us off. We saw last season, we were knocked out of the MTN8 and TKO but we remained focused and we eventually won the double.
We have big heart and character. We will up our game and pull up our socks. The Coach spoke to us and reminded us of our roles and responsibilities. We will take it one game at a time.
We will revive the same mentality that saw us doing well in the past. We have a title to defend and we will do just that;" Khune was speaking after the team had put their final polishing touches ahead of Wednesday night's game.
