Dominic Isaacs has warned speaking to kaizerchiefs.com that they cannot afford any slips up ahead of the potential thrill-a-minute clash against Santos at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday, 22 April 2012.
The Glamour Boys’ title ambitions suffered a knock on Tuesday when Maritzburg United did a ‘smash n grab’ at Peter Mokaba Stadium a game where Chiefs had a lion’s share of possession and created numerous chances enough to win the game.
“We have to come to the party,” said the player affectionately known as ‘Domza’ following a gruelling session at Club’s HQ, Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena.
“We need to turn the corner and very quickly. We cannot afford to drop any points now and it has to start at Santos this coming weekend.
The Glamour Boys travel to Cape Town for a tricky tie against Santos who like Chiefs suffered a defeat against SuperSport United.
“It is going to be a tough game down in Cape Town. I know during my years at Ajax Cape Town you can lose against any team in the league but when Chiefs comes down you want to win so we know that Santos is going to come out guns blazing.
“It is going to be an open game as both team are wounded. Santos is fighting for their lives as they are in a precarious position in the league but I know that they will not park the bus and we attack from the first whistle.
Domza added that the team is settled and they are adapting to methods from Ace Khuse; “Coaches are different and they employ different methods. Ace has been with us for the past three years and we are familiar with him.
The most important thing for us as professionals is to adapt quickly to his philosophy and start implementing it on the field.
