Josta Dladla has urged his teammates to remain focused ahead of the trip to Free State Stars this coming weekend.

The Glamour Boys travel to Free State following back to back wins in the Absa Premiership against AmaZulu and Mamelodi Sundowns on what has been a flying start to Stuart Baxter’s first season with the side.

The Meadowlands born midfielder, Josta Dladla has not only featured regularly for the side this season but has collaborated with his team mates and played a crucial role in ensuring that the Glamour Boys collect maximum points in the first two games of 2012/13 Premiership.

'JD' as Josta is known in football circles told kaizerchiefs.com: “We have had a good start to the season but we should remember that it is still early days in the league. We just need to keep on going and forget about our past results.

Dladla was instrumental at the start of last season scoring in the first three games as Amakhosi set the pace in the league; "We started well last season but midway in the first half of the season we started dropping points which did not do us any favours. It is very important that we ensure that we do not repeat the same mistakes.

"There has been a lot of changes in the team with the arrival of the new players and Head Coach. We have responded positively to what the Coach expects from us. There has been a good vibe in the dressing room. Everyone in the team is motivated to give their best and show their worth."

Dladla, who made his PSL debut during 1998/1999 season, is one of the senior players in the team; “There is a good spirit between the young and senior players in the team. We are all aware of the expectations from the fans to do well this season. In football you are as good as your last game so our past results will not win us the game at Charles Mopeli Stadium.

The midfielder was at his best scoring a winner inside injury time as the Glamour Boys came back with maximum points from QwaQwa last May; “We played as a team and being united is the first step of achieving positive results. We need to remain united behind one objective of Reclaiming the Glory,” added Dladla.

Amakhosi will be traveling to Charles Mopeli Stadium on the 1st of September 2012 to honour an ABSA Premiership fixture against hard to beat and unpredictable Free State Stars. Both Amakhosi and Ea Lla Koto have won two of their opening fixtures of the 2012/13 ABSA Premiership. Kick-off is at 15:00.
