The Glamour Boys were making their second appearance at the historic venue following an emphatic win against Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 in early August.
“I was told that we generally have a good record on this ground as the team did quite well here in the past. We have also made it two out of two here with our victory against Wits the other night and Cosmos this afternoon,” said a pleased Vladimir Vermezovic after the game that saw his charges moving to 8th position in the log.
“I think we played well today especially in the first half where we controlled the midfield. Reneilwe Letsholonyane was very instrumental for us. It was a blow to lose him early in the game and that affected our rhythm but at the end I am pleased that we going back to Naturena will the three points.”
Vermezovic admitted that the team is not playing their best football at the moment and they will need to improve if they are to challenge for league honours.
“There is still a lot of work to be done and we can still improve…today we created lot of chances that we should have scored. We need to win two or three games in a row so that all the guys can regain their confidence,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Serbian revealed that midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane’s injury is not as serious as initially thought, “He is a very important player in the team and I am glad it is not a serious injury he suffered. We also had to withdraw Nkosinathi (Nhleko) after suffering a knock. We will be monitoring all the players including (Tshifiwa) Mmbooi ahead of our game in Cape Town,” he concluded.
