Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic has challenged his charges to bounce back against Swallows following a disappointing 1 all draw against Jomo Cosmos in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday evening.

The Serbian who was leading the Glamour Boys for the 100th time since he was announced as the Head Coach back on the 18th June 2009 kept his unbeaten record against Jomo Cosmos intact.

“It was an interesting game and we played better in the second half after making changes,” said Vermezovic who has also not lost an official game at Nelson Mandela Stadium.

“We created lot of chances once more but we did not convert them and we got punished. They got an opportunity to score after we lost possession in the middle of the park. Thanks to (Lehlohonolo) Majoro we managed to bounce back in the second half.

Vermezovic denied that the break had an impact on the result; “In some countries including Serbia it is normal to have two preseasons in a season but here it is not the case and maybe players are not used to take such a long break during a season. There was no way we were going to change CAF rules though and this situation is the same for every club in the league.

“We need to dust ourselves and continue to fight. We do not have lot of time to relax before our game against Moroka Swallows on Saturday. We will go back to the training ground and work on our mistakes. There is a long way to go and we will continue fighting,” added VV.
