Amakhosi did salvage some pride to their start of the season winning the inaugural MTN 8 last month. This week, the Glamour Boys start another journey as they go all out to defend the Telkom KO they won last season when they meet on-form Golden Arrows in Durban.
“Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows are in my opinion the only two teams that are willing to play football” he told kaizerchiefs.com ahead of Wednesday training session at the Club headquarters in Naturena.
“We have done our homework on Arrows...they are a quick side and very organised. They have good variation of players, speedy and skilful. They can vary their play as they want but they have their weaknesses that we will be looking at exploiting. I am confident that this is going to be a top class game as both teams play good football. I am positive that at the end we are going to come back with a positive result” he said.
The Turkish born mentor said he is aware that the Amakhosi faithful are concerned with the performance of the team lately in particular in the league, “I have been to our website, reading what our supporters had to say about the way the team has been performing.
I am human and I take responsibility as the Head Coach of this great Club, but I want to assure them that we will not sleep until we achieve our goals. We are going to continue working hard with this team. We have assembled a talented team that needs a bit of patience but I remain positive” he added.
