“It is going to be a tough one,” insists Kaizer Chiefs left-back Tsepo Masilela ahead of Saturday’s encounter against Edu Sports in the Nedbank Cup Last 32. “We will have to do our best. We have to work hard.”
“There are no longer small teams in football,” adds Masilela, while referring to the SAB League side which plays in the Tshwane region.
“We are not focused on the 10-points gap in the league. We want to win every game. Ask any professional player, who enjoys losing?,” says an inspired Masilela, while reflecting on last Tuesday’s loss against SuperSport United.
On having to sit out the Matsatsantsa clash due to an injury, the Amakhosi left-back says: “I am sure the other players are waiting for their chance. I am confident that if I don’t play, the other player will take their chance. I know my colleagues, they are ready and they can't wait to get an opportunity.”
Edu Sports captain Caterpillar Monama insists: “We admire the Chiefs players. We want to showcase our talent. Who knows… One of us might be recruited to join a top team. We are looking forward to Saturday.”
This Nedbank Cup Last 32 match will be played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 15:00).
“Edu Sports will be motivated to play against Chiefs,” concludes Masilela. “Their players will be looking to impress the scouts.”
