Kaizer Chiefs will be hosting Free State Stars in an ABSA Premiership match at Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, 30 April 2014.
kaizerchiefs.com caught up with Willard Katsande before the Team’s departure to Polokwane on Tuesday morning,
kaizerchiefs.com: how do you feel about this trip to Polokwane?
Katsande: “It is another trip to Polokwane which has become our happy hunting ground. As a Team we promised each other to fight to win all our remaining games. We are all aware of the task that lies ahead of us and we are prepared to do the job.”
kaizerchiefs.com: you cannot afford to drop points at this stage?
Katsande: “We cannot take a chance at this stage. We cannot afford any slip up now especially playing at home and Peter Mokaba Stadium has been good to us this season. Our aim is to enjoy the game, win the game and make our supporters happy.”
kaizerchiefs.com: Free State Stars are fighting to stay in the elite league?
Katsande: “Stars are involved in a dogfight at the bottom of the league. They will be very dangerous as opponents as they are involved in a relegation dogfight. We must approach them with caution. Respecting our opponents is our way of doing things at Chiefs but 3-points are what we all need.”
kaizerchiefs.com: are you ready for the game?
Katsande: “Personally I am ready and I think the Team as a whole is ready. There are two factors here, it’s our individual performances and that must contribute to the Team performance. We are all working hard and pushing one another to do well as a Team and against Free State Stars it will not be different.”
Tickets for the game are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers at R40 for adults. Gates will be opened at 16:30 and kickoff for the match is at 19:30.
