“The Kaizer Chiefs Branches in the Western Cape are a shining example of what good leadership and proper structures can achieve,” Supporters Relations Manager Tracy Williams reacts after a recent meeting with the provincial structures in Nyanga, Cape Town.
It was an informal meeting held to brainstorm around the proposed new membership card and its distribution channels. The provincial executive team was also present. The 40 Western Cape branches are led by provincial chairman Max Tsiboli and regional general secretary Rebecca Nelwamondo. It was a productive session which resulted in some good insights and ideas.
“It is important for representative from our head office to consult the structures to get our perspective on proposed ideas,” provincial chairman Tsiboli explains. “Because, by being on the ground, we have a good grasp of what is possible and how we are able to add real value to the processes.”
However, besides discussing issues like the new membership card, there was also time to talk about the upcoming Soweto Derby, which the Amakhosi will host on 7 March at the FNB Stadium.
“The Western Cape is gearing up in full force for the Derby,” deputy provincial chairman Beaver Nazo promised with big smile on his face. Many branch members already bought their tickets for the Derby.
