Kaizer Chiefs legend Michael ‘Bizzah’ Dlamini is in hospital. “We wish Bizzah well,” Chairman Kaizer Motaung comments. “We hope he will have a speedy recovery.”
Dlamini is considered as one of the best strikers Kaizer Chiefs has ever had, playing for the club from 1970 until 1977.
The 74-year-old used to be affectionately known as ‘Monkey Jive’, because of the way he used upper body movements to get past his opponent.
Before joining Chiefs in 1970, Dlamini played for Sobantu Manchester and Maritzburg City. After his Amakhosi days, he became a coach at various clubs in Durban, like Bush Bucks and AmaZulu, before briefly returning to the Glamour Boys to assist Paul Dolezar (1997-1999).
