Like it was during the encounter with SuperSport Yende is readying himself for another tough and physically challenging game when Chiefs go head to head with Steve Komphela’s men at the Rand Stadium on Saturday afternoon, in a Telkom Knockout Cup last eight encounter.
“The game against SuperSport was a battle and an epic one; I don’t think that this next match against Free State Stars is going to be much different. We have to be ready to stick to our game plan and absorb whatever the opposition throw at us, we have to once again get the small details right” explained Yende.
According to Yende going into the Cup clash with Stars on the back of three wins has helped improve the teams psyche and in addition is a huge morale and confidence booster for them.
“Having defeated Swallows, Amazulu and SuperSport was very important for us because these wins have allowed us to keep on target with our various objectives, there were various hurdles we needed to over come and by winning these games we have in some way conquered these mini challenges.”
Yende’s hope now is that having gained momentum with their recent success Chiefs will be able to seize the momentum and carry on forward, “we need to roll on from here and carry on the way we have been, importantly playing the way we have and getting the right kind of results.
We all know that it is important for us to remain grounded and keep focus, also we need to continue developing our own self confidence and take each game as it comes.”
