The availability of Reneilwe Letsholonyane for selection when the Amakhosi take on Free State Stars in a Telkom Knockout quarterfinal game has given coach Vladimir Vermezovic an extra option in midfield, and a welcome selection dilemma.

Yeye returns to the fold after missing the Amakhosi’s last game, a 2 – 0 league victory over SuperSport United through suspension. The dreadlocked midfielder is eager to play once again.

“It is up to the coach to decide who plays against Stars, for my part I am itching to play in the game. The team played well against SuperSport and winning always lifts your spirits, so we in a good frame of mind for this game,” Yeye told KaizerChiefs.com

Letsholonyane further said, “another reason that I am itching to play is the fact that the team are playing good football and it is evident that the guys are enjoying themselves during the game. The input from all the players has been of a high level.”

Even though he and midfield partner Siphiwe Tshabalala are able to play this weekend against Stars, Yeye knows that they are not guaranteed a place in the team that will line up to take on Stars at the Rand Stadium.

“Without us the team did well so I do believe that there is no guarantee that Siphiwe and I will play against Stars, it is good for the team that the coach has most of his players fit and able to play in the game. You always want to have a full strength team to select from and it is a real bonus for the team that Siphiwe has recovered from his injury and can play again.”

In relation to the Stars game Letsholonyane says that he is pleased with the team’s preparations for the game against Stars and that they know exactly what to expect from their opponents in the game.

“I believe that our preparations have been without any hiccups and also we know that Stars like to get stuck into the game and they do not give up and go at you for the full ninety minutes, if you prepare well for any game than things will always work out in your favour.”
