Midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane has been named as Bafana Bafana captain for the two upcoming practice matches against Zambia and Ghana.
‘Maestro’ as the player is affectionately known from kaizerchiefs.com joins an illustrious list of players from Kaizer Chiefs who have captained Bafana Bafana. The list includes the likes of Neil Tovey, Doctor Khumalo, and Siphiwe Tshabalala among others.
“It is an honour to be named the captain of the national team for the next two games,” said Yeye who was informed by Coach, Pitso Mosimane on Sunday about the responsibility.
“I appreciate the opportunity that has been presented to me and trust that I will fullfill my duties. It is every player’s dream to captain his/her country and I am thankful for the opportunity. The two games are important to us and we will give our best”
Bafana take on Zambia at Rand Stadium on Wednesday, 11 January 2011 (16:30 kickoff) and then take on Ghana at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday, 14 January 2011
