Amakhosi midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has turned his attention to Orlando Pirates and this coming weekend’s Telkom Knockout Cup Final, Yeye who did not feature in last season’s final is hoping to square off with the Buccaneers this coming weekend at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Chiefs began their planning for the final with their first training session of the week on Monday morning and Lethsolonyane believes the right kind of investment in the mental and physical side of their game will put Chiefs in good stead for the clash with Pirates.

“Playing Pirates is not easy we have already faced them three times in official competition this season and each game has been tougher than the previous one, we not expecting anything less than another difficult game on Saturday.

What is important is that during the build up to the game we prepare properly for the match and as a collective we focused solely on the cup final and making sure that we in the right frame of mind on Saturday.”

Letsholonyane who did not feature during Chiefs weekend loss to Vasco Da Gama insists that the loss will not affect the Amakhosi as they get ready for the final, “it is sad that we loss on Saturday.

We know that game is now behind us, there is a new game ahead of us and a very important one it is a Cup Final, which means that it will be in our best interests to be thinking only about Pirates at this time.”

Letsholonyane who was on target for Chiefs in the opening round of the Telkom Knockout Cup when they defeated Amazulu 2 – 0 is hopeful that Chiefs can make a successful defence of their Telkom Knockout Cup title.

“Right now it is all about us going for gold, we are the defending champions and we will give everything to hold onto our title.”
