As is tradition, the Chairman, Kaizer ‘Chincha Guluva’ Motaung, opens the show by sharing his thoughts on the team’s recent performances. He reflects on Bernard Parker’s milestone of 200 appearances in the Gold & Black colours of the Glamour Boys. He gives his thoughts on the new sensation, Gustavo Paez’s captivating star power and remarkable performances in recent weeks.
Those Chiefs fans too young to have seen the Chairman play footfall will receive an invaluable history lesson, courtesy of a retired journalist, Farook Khan, who takes us down memory lane to reminisce about Chincha’s playing days and compare how football has changed since then. He recalls in detail just how great a footballer the Chairman was in his day.
We also chat to four of the players whose contracts were recently renewed by the club and will remain Glamour Boys for a number of years to come. They are George Maluleka, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Lucky Baloyi and Willard Katsande.
The club hosted a number of agents who will be working at various KC Insurance retail stores and we share some of the highlights from the workshop.
Another interesting segment is a visit by Kaizer Chiefs to Hollard at their offices in Park Town, ahead of the game against Sundowns, to host the pre-match press conference attended by both clubs, much to the delight of the staff.
Lastly, the club pays a fitting tribute to former coach Jeff Butler who passed away last week after a long illness. The legend will always be in our hearts and his legacy and contribution is well documented in the club’s history books.
Don’t miss the show and make sure you catch the repeats in the forthcoming days and throughout the month of May.
