Amakhosi’s Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung together with Tsepo Masilela, Keagan Buchanan, Bruce Bvuma, Kabelo Mahlasela, Sibusiso Khumalo and Edmore Chirambadare were at the mall, mingling with hundreds of supporters and shoppers of one of Soweto’s busiest malls.
“There was a sense of palpable excitement at the mall as many supporters were happy to see their brand getting closer to them and seeing their favourite stars,” commented Motaung. “And, of course, the prospect of the big Soweto Derby against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, added to the many supporters flocking to the activation and the shop to purchase their apparel and win prizes before the game.”
The store opened its doors in February and the activation was part of the campaign to promote the store that is there to attend to Soweto supporters’ insurance, mobile and retail needs.
The activation saw supporters get the opportunity to meet with their idols and win fabulous prizes, including Kaizer Chiefs jerseys, tickets to the match and other merchandise.
The six Glamour Boys interacted with fans, took pictures, signed autographs and handed out some of the fabulous prizes on offer.
“It was really awesome to visit the store,” reflected Masilela. “Based on the feedback, supporters are quite excited about the store as it makes it easy for them to purchase their exclusive merchandise without having to travel to the Village.”
In the store, the agents assisted with exclusive merchandise and specials. Those who needed insurance products and services were assisted by KC Insurance agents, while the KC Mobile team RICA’d supporters, who purchased the KC Mobile Starter packs to ensure they join the Kaizer Chiefs Family of millions that already receive great club content via this platform.
Sowetans can now make use of the facility at any time for insurance, mobile and merchandise needs.
