Following a tough weekend in Pretoria, Amakhosi have dusted themselves off and shifted their focus to their upcoming match where they will face DStv Premiership newcomers Richards Bay on Saturday in Durban.
Amakhosi were back in training on Monday to prepare for a first Premiership meeting with the ‘Rich Boys’ who were promoted to the elite league after winning the First Division last season.
The two teams have met before in the Nedbank Cup at FNB Stadium in February 2021 when the team was still in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
“We had a good session with the guys this morning,” says coach Arthur Zwane. “We reflected and took some lessons from Saturday’s game. Our focus and energy is now fully on the upcoming game as we need to collect points. We know it won’t be easy but we will prepare adequately for Richards Bay.”
Supporters in KwaZulu-Natal can expect another thriller as the last match Amakhosi hosted at the World Cup venue against Bloemfontein Celtic produced eight goals.
With two of the three games played by Amakhosi having been sold out this season, supporters in Durban are expected to also show their passion by filling up Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The keenly awaited return to the Club’s home away from home fixture promises to be a great occasion and we therefore urge our fans to snap up their tickets quickly before they are all gone.
Tickets for the 20h00 kick-off match are sold at R60 each at Computicket outlets countrywide, including Shoprite and Checkers.
