Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Sabelo ‘Bibo’ Radebe is beaming with pride and joy after obtaining his Marketing in Sport Specialisation qualification from Boston City Campus.

The player from Soweto did not waste time after completing his matric at the end of 2017 to ensure he continues his education. He says even his promotion to Amakhosi’s senior team did not deter him from achieving his dream of studying further.

“I’m very happy to have acquired this qualification, because we all know that education is very important for all of us, more especially for us as footballers because our careers are relatively short,” says the 21-year-old Radebe, adding “I have to admit that it was quite challenging to come back from training every day and then having to switch to books. But with the determination I have, I pushed as much as I could and it paid off.”

The talented youngster, who is a product of the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy, says he’s taking a short break, but will probably go back to school as early as next year after deciding what he will study next.

We congratulate ‘Bibo’ and encourage him to keep working hard on the field – and with his books – as he is a role model to other young players at Chiefs and outside of the Village.

Kaizer Chiefs skipper Bernard Parker also recently completed a Higher Certificate in Sport Marketing Diploma at Boston as Amakhosi players continue to inspire on and off the pitch.
