It’s arguably South Africa’s most loved sporting event and safety is paramount in the planning of such a premier event.

 

Kaizer Chiefs will be hosting their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in an epic Absa Premiership fixture on Saturday, 21 October. About 100 000 people are expected to converge in and around the Nasrec precinct. That’s why our message is loud and clear, “Arrive early and soak in the carnival atmosphere of this very special event.”

 

Strict measures have been put in place to identify fake tickets and related illegal activities. The only people that will be allowed around the precinct must have tickets in their hands. Access tickets, including parking tickets, are sold at Computicket outlets nationwide.

 

It is also important to familiarise with Prohibited & Restricted Items as that’s important for the prevention of certain items entering the stadium, which is aimed at your own safety.

 

Please take note that the following items have been declared prohibited and restricted items by the SAPS for this event:

 

Firearms, knives & any other dangerous weapon, backpacks or similar, any form of carry bag, any form of liquor and beverages (no matter the container); no cool-boxes, or similar; non-prescribed narcotics, any glass or metal containers; any sharp pointed objects – including umbrellas with sharp points; lasers; professional photographic/video equipment, prams, offensive posters, banners or flags; ‘ambush marketing’ items & any other item which the event organizer, the SAPS, ESSPC, Stadium security & their duly authorized officials reasonably consider to be a danger or risk to the general safety of the event. http://www.stadiummanagement.co.za/about/stadium-terms-of-entry/

 

Avoid traffic congestion and risk the chance to miss the start of the match. Use the especially laid-on public transportation (Rea Vaya, Metrorail, KTK Shuttles, Top 6 & other taxi services) for the event;

 

Metrorail

Metrorail train services will run from Johannesburg Station to Nasrec Station before and after the game. Each ticket will be a total of R40 return.

Rea Vaya

Rea Vaya will be operating a service to transport fans to the JCFC vs OPFC Match from its stations along the Rea Vaya phase 1A and phase 1B route to the FNB Stadium. Fans will be dropped off and picked up at the Soccer City Rea Vaya Station after the match.

Ticket prices are R15 for a single trip and R30 for a return ticket. The below table is a schedule of the arrival and departures times:
