Anticipation ahead of the Soweto Derby is fast approaching fever pitch as the weekend looms into view.

Tickets have been taken up at unprecedented rates. Yet, there are still a few enticing special offers available for supporters to participate in the build-up and attend the match in a style befitting as an august occasion as Kaizer Chiefs hosting Orlando Pirates in one of world football’s showpiece fixtures.

The match kicks off at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 25 February at 15:30.

The official build-up to the blockbuster DStv Premiership clash began on Monday, with the Vodacom Soweto Derby Press Conference held at Vodacom World, where the legends of previous eras and current players shared their thoughts about the meaning of the Soweto Derby.

This was followed on Thursday by the DStv Soweto Derby Press Conference at the Wanderers Club, where the two teams were represented by their coaches and senior players.

No tickets will be on sale at the stadium. Casual Get Together

On the eve of the big match, Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom invite fans to join them at the Randfontein Municipality Centre (Opposite the Post Office). on Friday 24 February, from 12:00-17:00, for a social gathering where they can meet Chiefs players, stand a chance to win match tickets and merchandise, and purchase official branded gear from the. KC Retail stand.

Pre-match Entertainment

Gates open at 11:30 and valid tickets will be required to ensure entry. Supporters are encouraged to get to the venue as early as possible in order to make a smooth entry into the stadium and get the atmosphere going with minimal fuss.

There will be plenty of top quality pre-match entertainment on offer, including drummers, flag bearers, a pitch-side DJ and live performances by Cassper Nyovest and Focalistic to get the party rocking.
