The medical team reports a ray of hope for the return of the Zimbabwean marksman, Khama Billiat. Khama last saw action on 22 December 2019 against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium. He was replaced in the 79th minute by Nkosingiphile Ngcobo in the match that ended 1-1. It was then that the decision was made to put him under medical scrutiny for a niggling hamstring muscle injury.

The good news is that Billiat has started light training with the team and early indications lead to a potential return to full training in the near future. Thereafter, the player will be assessed for match fitness.

Bruce Bvuma is also involved in light training following his recovery from a muscle tear. The shot-stopper still requires seven days period of light training before going on full steam training.

Another goalie, Bontle Molefe suffered a hand injury during the Multichoice Diski Challenge match played on Sunday against Mamelodi Sundowns. The youngster is undergoing assessment and an update will be issued on his condition.

Next in line of fixtures is a home match in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 against Royal Eagles. The match is scheduled to take place on 8 February at 18:00.
