Matches for the U-13s and U-17s will kick off at 09:00, while the U-15s will start at 10:30 and the U-19s at around 11:00.
The Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy sides had a three weeks break due to the school holidays, but returned to training last week. “We partly had another pre-season,” says Amakhosi’s Under-19s coach, Sundra Govinder.
Chiefs’ Under-19s are presently in third position on the league table, seven points behind leaders Bidvest Wits. The young Glamour Boys, however, have three games in hand. The Under-17s, coached by Ace Khuse, have not done as well as expected, while the Under-15s led by Tshidiso Letsholonyane are in fifth place. The Jimmy Jambo-coached Under-13s are in third position.
“We are looking forward to the games,” Govinder says. “We want to win, although our objective will always be to develop players for the next level.”
