Bafana Bafana squad to play for AFCON qualifiers against Sao Tome home and away at the end of March.
Coach Molefi Ntseki recalled goalkeepers Itumeleng Khune who has 91 caps under his belt amongst Ronwen Williams (SSport Utd), Brendon Peterson (Bidvest Wits).
In the defence the lanky Erick Mathoho with 34 caps remains in the quad. While Reeve Frosler will be looking to add to his single cap for Bafana Bafana. The duo of defenders joins their compatriots Buhle Mkhwanazi, Thulani Hlatshwayo, S'fiso Hlanti (Wits), Gladwyn Shitolo (Golden Arrows), Innocent Maela (Orlando Pirates), Mosa Lebusa (Sundowns) and Thabo Matlaba (Black Leopards).
Making the midfield, Ntseki called up George Maluleka on 6 caps and Lebogang Manyama on 15 caps in the company of Andile Jali, Themba Zwane (Downs), Dean Furman, Teboho Mokoena (SS), Lebogang Phiri (Guigamp), Thembinkosi Lorch (Pirates), Percy Tau (Club Brugge) and Thulani Serero (Al Jazira).
To conclude his puzzle, the Bafana Bafana coach fire power upfront comprises of strikers, Lebo Mothiba (Strasbourg), Bradley Grobler (Supersport United), Thabiso Kutumela (Maritzburg United).
Similarly, Nigeria has called up Daniel Akpeyi for a possible 17 cap for their home and away fixture against Sierra Leone.
Khama Billiat is on 41 caps for the upcoming Zambia’s qualifiers against Algeria.
Kenya has called up Akumu Agay who is capped 31 times for their upcoming qualifier against Comoros home and away.
The squad will assemble on 22nd March. Match details will be revealed in due course.
