Kaizer Chiefs displayed a much improved performance when they held Turkish champions Besiktas to a 2-all draw in their final World Peace King Cup match in Busan, South Korea on Saturday.

Even though Amakhosi are out of contention for the $2 million following a 2-0 loss to Lyon on Tuesday and a 1-0 defeat to local side Seongnam on Thursday, the draw will go long way in restoring Chiefs' pride and should be a big boost for the side ahead of the Top Eight competition as well as the International Bid Club Challenge, in which they will take on English Premiership club Tottenham Hotspur in Cape Town on Tuesday, July 29.

After a goalless first half, Chiefs conceded their fourth goal of the competition when Guiaro put Besiktas in the lead nine minutes into the second half after a goalmouth scramble.

However, Chiefs' persistence finally paid off when Kabamba Musasa pulled one back four minutes later, hence scoring his and Amakhosi's first goal of the tournament.

Even though Chiefs put up a brave fight dominating the midfield where Jabu Pule, Arthur Zwane and 'Shoes' Moshoeu operated, the defensive was once again caught napping when Yildirim found himself unmarked inside the Chiefs' box and restored Besiktas lead after connecting with Asik's cross from the left.

However with pride at stake, Amakhosi were not about to take matters lying down as they pulled themselves together and continued to surge forward looking for an equalizer and a possible winner.

They were once again rewarded when veteran midfielder Moshoeu found the back of the net in the 73rd minute with a header from Musasa's left footed cross and beat the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Cordoba, and leveled matters once again.
