Amakhosi beat Highlands Park 1-0 in the first round at a capacity filled Makhulong Stadium in September. George Lebese scored the solitary goal from a spot kick. Lebese, after having recovered from injury, has returned to full training and made the squad for the Maritzburg United match on Saturday.
Chiefs are on a five match unbeaten run and trail log leaders Cape Town City by a point in the Absa Premiership standing. The Glamour Boys are on 30 points, while City are on 31 points after both teams have played 17 matches.
Back to this week’s much anticipated match; Highlands Park will surely bring their A-game to Moses Mabhida Stadium. Gordon Igesund’s coached side will be looking to cause an upset, especially given their second from bottom position on the log. The Lions of the North collected a point in their weekend match, after having led for the better part of the game against Polokwane City.
A good crowd is anticipated at Moses Mabhida and the supporters are urged to purchase their tickets on time.
