The trio made up of two former youth team players from the club as well as midfielder Lucky Mzizi will see the youngsters, play out the rest of the season on loan at Mvela Golden League team Durban Stars and PSL outfit Amazulu.
Xolani ‘Touch’ Mabaso and Kagiso Senamela of the Kaizer Chiefs u-19 team, will travel to Durban until the conclusion of the current season and will join Mvela Golden League team Durban Stars.
Stars currently being coached by former Chiefs coach Walter Da Silva, occupy fifth spot in the first division, and are in with a real chance of earning themselves a place in the Mvela platinum play off. Joining Stars will afford Mabaso and Senamela, who had been training with the Chiefs first team for the past few months, the perfect platform to gain much needed playing experience in order to assist them in bridging the gap from youth football to the professional game.
Similarly a decision was taken to allow Chiefs midfielder Lucky Mzizi the opportunity to also get some regular playing time under his belt, as Mzizi has not seen much action at The Amakhosi for some time, as he last started a game for Chiefs in October 2005.
Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung believes there will be a number of added benefits for Lucky during the next few months, "our hope is for Lucky to get as much playing time as possible while he is in Durban, we would also like to wish him the best of luck over the next few months. Amazulu have recently roped in a new coach who Lucky has been fortunate enough to have worked with before, they also have a number of experienced players on their books, I am confident that all of these factors will ensure that Lucky will gain a lot out of this experience."
