Just over 72 hours after hosting Moroka Swallows in the Soweto Derby on Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs will be in action again when they welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows to the FNB stadium for another DStv Premiership clash on Tuesday evening.
Amakhosi and Swallows drew 0-0 at the weekend, while Arrows found themselves on the losing end for the ninth consecutive match - with the last defeat coming against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday, where they lost 1-0 at home.
Abafana Bes’thende did, however, receive three points during that time in a walkover against Swallows who were unable to play their scheduled match in December.
Chiefs and Arrows are separated by three points on the PSL log, with the 6th placed Amakhosi having amassed 26 points in the last 18 matches, and Arrows occupying the 10th position with 23 points collected in the previous 18 rounds.
In an important week where the big Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates will take place on Saturday, Coach Cavin Johnson will need to ensure that the players remain focused on the match against Arrows as victory will be important for the momentum and build up to Saturday’s spectacle.
Chiefs will have to do without the reliable centre-back Edmilson Dove as the Mozambican sent off on Saturday night.
Tickets for the encounter between Chiefs and Arrows are on sale through TicketPro online at www.ticketpros.co.za or Spar and Boxer Supermarkets, PostNet, Shell and Sasol filling stations at R60 per ticket.
