This year’s Human Rights Day sees the biggest match in South Africa take place as Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs welcome archivirals Orlando Pirates to the FNB Stadium for the 100th DStv Premiership Soweto Derby.
This is the fourth meeting between two teams this season as they met in a league game and two-legged MTN8 semifinals earlier on.
Coach Gavin Hunt has made 4 changes to the team when compared to the game against Petro de Luanda in the Champions League on Tuesday in Angola.
In defence, Captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele is out injured and will be replaced by Daniel Cardoso, while Reeve Frosler will take Philani Zulu’s place in defence. In midfield, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo comes in for Kearyn Baccus and Samir Nurković will start for the home team as he replaces the suspended Lebogang Manyama in attack.
Daniel Akpeyi is in goal for Chiefs.
Mulomowandau Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso are in central defence. Frosler will play on the left and Siyabonga Ngezana on the right of the defence.
Njabulo Blom will hold the midfield once again. He will work with Ngcobo, with support from Happy Mashiane on the left and Bernard Parker.
Lazalous Kambole will assist Nurković in attack.
Victor Hlungwani is the referee. He will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela and Shaun Olive. The fourth official is Akhona Makalima.
The Glamour Boys and the Sea Robbers will kick off at 15:00 at FNB Stadium. No spectators will be allowed in the stadium. The game will be live on SuperSport 2020 and SABC 1 with commentary on various SABC radio stations. The will be regular updates of the match on Twitter @KaizerChiefs.
