The encounter was part of the Multichoice Diski Challenge Festival, held on Monday, 24 September (Heritage Day) at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
The game was concentrated in the middle of the park where Wiseman Meyiwa played guard, allowing Nkosingiphele Ngcobo and Khotso Malope to dictate proceedings much to the cheer of the full to capacity crowd.
Chiefs came close to scoring on numerous occasions with Ryan Moon and Itumeleng Shopane combining well but Lady Luck was not on their side.
Sanele Tshabalala in goals was on fine form, making some telling saves for Amakhosi.
Sensing a draw, Zwane made changes, bringing on Reamohetswe Lekoatsa for Letlhogonolo Mirwa in the 54th minute, Given Thibedi for Moon in the 62nd minute and the last substitution saw Malope make way for Sabelo Radebe in the 68th minute.
The draw is Kaizer Chiefs Reserves’ second in succession and the team will be looking at returning to winning ways.
The next match will see Kaizer Chiefs Reverses visit SuperSport United Reserves on 7th October at TUT, kick-off is at midday.
